TRUE PRAISE MEETS LYRICAL ANNOINTING
LaRue Hill is a Detroit-based hip-hop artist whose music is rooted in faith, identity, and Hebrew spiritual themes. Known within his community as Moreh LaRue Hill he is part of Great Awakening International (GAI), a Torah-observant, Messianic Hebrew community.
His catalog spans nearly three decades and multiple albums, EP’s, and singles. Signed to MCA records in 1994, he made the conscious decision to leave the secular music scene and released his first faith based CD, The Hook Up (1998), followed a few years later by More Than Just An MC (2002). More recently he released theTransition (2021), as well as Secret Place (2024).
LaRue Hill's newest project, In The Morning, released August 4, 2026, is a 14-track album that stands as his most collaborative work to date, bringing together a wide circle of Truth Music artists across the Hebrew faith hip-hop community.
With features spanning more than a dozen artists across the movement, In The Morning plays like a gathering of voices as much as a solo album, each track built around a different collaborator, giving the project a range that moves from vibe-driven cuts to worship-centered anthems and message-driven verses.
Beyond his own project, LaRue Hill has built a strong presence as a featured collaborator within the Hebrew/faith hip-hop community, appearing on tracks such as "Hallel Lu Yah Anyway" with Zamar Yashar'el (2023), "The Mishpacha" alongside Yahdi, Seaknahirie, Siah A'miel, and Adriel Carr (2024), and "Peculiar People" with Kadir Whyz Yashare'l (2026).
Whether delivering solo work, producing for others, or contributing verses to a collaborative project, LaRue Hill's music consistently gives reverence and highlights themes of praise, purpose, and spiritual conviction hip-hop built for listeners in search of truth and identity.
