Raising a Generation Set Apart in Faith, Wisdom, and Purpose
Set Apart Hebrew Academy (SAHA), administered and founded by Daud Akeem (David Woods), and ChayilYah Segulah Woods (LaShonda Woods), is a faith-based educational ministry dedicated to nurturing the hearts and minds of the next generation through academic excellence, biblical
principles, and covenant-centered learning. The Academy services children from grades K-12 in Torah rooted education. SAHA's nontraditional curriculum focuses heavily on independence and self-worth through interactive activities, while actively engaging the children in creative learning styles through song, activities, and imaginary plays.
Rooted in the values of Torah, love, family, and upright living, the academy provides a
supportive environment where children grow spiritually, intellectually, and personally. Through engaging instruction, hands-on experiences, and meaningful community connections, students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills, strong character, and a deeper understanding of their faith. Unique experiences are cultivated and highlighted immersing students in biblical Hebrew, culture, and identity while mastering core academic subjects. Through live virtual classes, students engage in daily Hebrew language practice, Torah-based studies, and cultural enrichment, alongside math, ELA, STEAM, reading, and extracurricular activities that change every 6-8 weeks.
With initiatives such as the Back 2 Basics Academy, students are also introduced to essential life skills, traditional crafts, agriculture, and practical learning that connect timeless wisdom with modern education, sharing invaluable life skills that are not as prevalent in traditional public education.
More than a school, Set Apart Hebrew Academy is a family in covenant, equipping the
next generation to walk boldly in their identity, faith, and purpose.
